Sexual Health & the C-Card Scheme

Want free condoms? Register for a C-Card!

If you are under 25 you can get free condoms through the C-Card scheme.

How do I register?

You will need to come in and see us at our city centre offices, 2 Horfield Road, St Michael's Hill, Bristol, BS2 8EA.

Why are condoms so great?

Condoms are the ONLY contraceptive method that protects you from sexually transmitted infections (STIs) AND pregnancy. Get yours at Off the Record!

You can register for a C-Card that then allows you to pick up free condoms at many chemists and other outlets in Bristol, including Off the Record.

How does it work?

It doesn’t take long to register. You’ll need to come in for a chat with one of our team before you can get your card and condoms. They can answer any questions that you might have and tell you more about the scheme.

It’s totally confidential, we won’t tell anybody that you’ve come in to see us.

You can then use your card at any of the pick-up points in Bristol to get more condoms. Once you’ve used your card 10 times then it’s time to register for another one.

Have a look at the 4YP website to find out where the nearest pick-up points in your area are.

Chlamydia testing

Off the Record also provides Chlamydia self testing kits. You will find them in our waiting area. Just pick one up, test at home and then post it. The kit comes with a pre-paid box so you can post it back for free. You will get a text telling you the results with an invitation for an appointment if you need one.

If Chlamydia is detected early it is very easy to treat with antibiotics which can prevent any long term problems.

For more information please have a look at the 4YP website

If you have any concerns that are sexual health related please chat to one of our youth support workers. We have information about other services too and can help provide a bridge for you to contact other organisations and clinics.
