Talk to a Youth Support Worker!

Who are the Youth Support Workers (YSWs)?

YSWs are trained members of the OTR team who can support you around a range of different issues. They are especially focused on helping people find ways of looking after their mental health and wellbeing.

If there is something that is concerning you or you have an issue that you’d like more information about then you could visit one of our Youth Support Workers for a support session.

What is a Support & Information Session?

It’s a confidential space where they will listen to any worries that you have and help you to find the best way to move forward. Occasionally, people come for a session when they feel they need immediate support because they are in crisis and they can’t wait for a counselling session. People also use the sessions to find out more about counselling at Off the Record.

Sessions are normally 45 minutes long – but you don’t have to use all of the time if you don’t feel you need it. We offer the sessions as a one-off – if you need more support we will help you to access another service.

It’s a confidential space. This means that what you talk about with a YSW won’t be shared with anyone else.
