As you may have read, OTR is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. We’re just getting started with the celebrations and events to mark this milestone!
Throughout the year, we hope to draw attention to the work we have done since 1965 across a range of platforms – online, print press, radio and TV. Any coverage of our anniversary helps raise awareness about the work Off the Record does, and therefore many other young people can find out about us and access our support.
We now see support the mental health needs of approx. 3,000 young people each year; so since 1965 that’s a lot of people we’ve spoken to, and of course lots of volunteers who have helped us along the way!
Off the Record is calling out – if you have had our help at any point and you’re comfortable talking about it, please contact our friendly Media and Comms Officer Liam at liamm@otrbristol.org.uk.
If you have a story to tell, if Off the Record Bristol had a positive impact on you, then please help us spread this positive news together. We want to highlight a number of things; that mental health exists on a scale, that recovery is possible, that counselling can be hugely helpful, and that the construct of being a young person has changed so much in 50 years.
Similarly, if you’ve been involved with Off the Record since its inception – do get back in touch. We’d love to hear from you!
Help us celebrate #OTRis50 – if you have anything to share, get in touch and let’s talk!
